🌟 Today, our Elementary Gifted & Talented kids took an amazing trip to the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank in OKC! 🥰 They volunteered for 2 1/2 hours, working hard to prepare after school meals and snacks for children. 🍏🍎 We are so proud of our students and their dedication to helping others! 🙌❤️ #MakingADifference #ProudTeachers

DCLA Junior High Track will compete at the Covington-Douglas Invitational on Monday. Events include running and field competitions for both boys and girls. Bus departure is at 8:25 AM. Please make sure to be on time. Good luck to all our athletes. Go Eagles!

DCLA boys took 1st place at the Jesse James HS Invitational at Covington on March 28, 2025, finishing with 67 points and edging out Cherokee by just 1 point. The team showed incredible effort across 17 events. Highlights: • Lincoln Taylor placed 2nd in the 400m with a time of 53.82, and he placed 5th in the high jump with a height of 6’0”. • Brice Bledsoe secured 2nd place in the 800m with an impressive time of 2:11.40. • Tripp Briggs claimed 1st place in the 110m hurdles with a time of 17.73. • The DCLA relay team (Will, Lincoln, Logan, Tripp) dominated the 4x200m relay, securing 1st place with a time of 1:36.78. • The DCLA relay team (Lincoln, Logan, Tripp, Brice) also finished 2nd in the 4x800m relay with a time of 8:51.15. • Tate Darling performed well in the shot put, placing 5th with a distance of 37’5.5”. Congratulations to these 12 members for attending and placing at the NWOSU Interscholastic Contest today! We had 2 ag communications teams and a vet science team! Extra congratulations to Chase Andrews for placing 6th and Christian Walls for being just out of the top 10 with a 12th place finish, leading their team to 4th place in the vet science contest!! It was a great day for our Eagles!!

Thursday Nicolette and Will finished our OYE 2025 season! Will placed 7th in a tough class of dark cross barrows and Nicolette was 11th with her crossbred steer!! Both students did amazing and represented DCLA well as usual!

Piper took the opportunity to do something new today and attended the OYE ExpOSUre Livestock Docs workshop! She learned different veterinary medicine practices, good health management practices and how to get ahead to be able to get into vet school.

Congratulations to our two pig showmen, Will and Hadlee, for competing this week at OKLAHOMA YOUTH EXPO in OKC! This is the state championship of livestock shows!! The competition is EXTREMELY TOUGH!! They did a great job and represented DCLA well. Will even brought home two top ten ribbons. What a great week!
